GOMA: Gemología Oportuna Minorías Agitadas
80 drawings on paper
Hacienda La Trinidad Parque Cultural, Caracas, 2023
My contribution to the group exhibition GOMA, curated by Abraham Araujo, is an untitled set of drawings on pages cut from reused notebooks, notebooks, diaries from past years, etc. Displayed on a wall in circumstantial pairs, the install atempts to break away from the reading of intimacy only being possible from closeness.
The drawings, made over the last five years with ignoble materials such as pens, school markers and highlighters, explore my sexual unconscious and my relationship with anatomy, identification and self-identification. They function at the intersection of what I live, what I do and what I imagine in the dimension of desire and bodily variability.
